Privacy Policy for PlayBallComms
Last updated: June 14, 2026
Overview
PlayBallComms is designed with privacy as a foundation. The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server or third party. All communication happens directly between devices on a local network.
Data We Do Not Collect
PlayBallComms does not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or account information
- Location data
- Device identifiers or analytics
- Usage statistics or crash reports
- Any data sent to external servers
How the App Works
Pitch calls, voice messages, and signals are sent directly between devices using Apple's Multipeer Connectivity framework over Bluetooth or local Wi-Fi. This is a peer-to-peer connection — no data passes through the internet, and no data is stored on any server. When the app is closed, all session data is gone.
App preferences (such as your pitch list, voice choice, and connection mode) are saved locally on your device using Apple's standard storage and are never transmitted anywhere.
Microphone Access
The app requests microphone access so the coach can record and send short voice messages to connected players. These recordings are transmitted directly to connected devices and are not saved, logged, or sent anywhere else.
Camera Access
The app requests camera access so players can scan the coach's QR code to join a session. No photos or images are saved. The camera is used only to read the QR code and is not used for any other purpose.
Local Network Access
The app requests local network access to discover and connect to nearby devices. This connection is entirely local — no internet connection is used or required.
Children's Privacy
PlayBallComms does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
